BART service between Oakland and San Francisco was halted Sunday morning after two trains stopped working on the east side of the Transbay Tube connecting the two cities.
No estimate was given by BART for when service could be resumed after two trains became disabled on the tracks in Oakland. One train is near West Oakland and another is near 12th Street, according to the transit agency. Repair crews are at the scene and are working on a fix.
AC Transit is offering free rides across San Francisco Bay for BART users impacted by the train issues, BART said in a tweet on Sunday morning.
