PHILADELPHIA — They can’t call this Watergate. It’s Wooder-gate.
The Giants’ Center City hotel temporarily had no water on Saturday morning due to a “busted pipe,” a source confirmed.
What a coincidence.
Fortunately, the hotel had fixed it by noon. A source told the News then: “We just got it back.”
That was a relief, since the Giants’ players and staff hadn’t been able to shower on Saturday morning of their 8:15 p.m. NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.
The news of the pipe bursting was first reported by Giants superfan License Plate Guy, aka Joe Ruback, on Twitter at 10:13 a.m. and confirmed by ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.
This is a developing story.
