OAKLAND — A man was injured in a shooting Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of ShotSpotter activity in the 1400 block of Seventh Street and Mandela Parkway, steps away from the West Oakland BART station.
When officers arrived, they found evidence of what appeared to be a shooting and a vehicle collision. That evidence included shell casings.
Soon after, police learned of a man suffering from a gunshot wound who managed to obtain his own transportation to an area hospital.
The man, who investigators learned was injured at the Seventh Street shooting, was later listed in stable condition.
Investigators said they do not yet have any motives or suspects in custody.
